1. Download the firmware for Samsung (iXtreme 1.4 - 2x, 5x, 8x or 12x. 5x or 8x are recommended)
2. Open Firmware Toolbox and load your Hitachi firmware. Right-click and copy your drive key.
3. Open the Samsung iXtreme firmware, right-click on the key and paste your Hitachi key. Press Replace Key.
4. Click Tools menu, Spoof Firmware and select Hitachi 47 and Apply Spoof.
5. Flash the spoofed firmware to your Samsung drive and you're done.
The short way:
Just rename your Hitachi original firmware to orig.bin and place it in the (Samsung) 2x,5x,8x, or 12x folder. Double click the 'Make iXtreme firmware' command and the firmware it produces will be spoofed and have the proper key. Flash your drive.
Edit: It's a samsung drive. Flash it as you would any Samsung. Just because it is spoofed doesn't change the way you flash a SAMSUNG drive.
thanks cl.
ill give it a try.
so once i have made this firmware i put it in the usb stick folder and flash using i prep ?
When flashing do i just straight away go to flash , not dump?
do i need to put the firmware in a folder with the name of the xbox360s serial number in?
Thanks alot for helping me previously, i just dont want to mess up!
In your other thread you mentioned you have flashed a ms28 before. Just follow the same procedure you did before but use your newly created spoofed firmware.
If it were me, I'd still dump the firmware just to have it. You never know. But yes, you can go straight to flashing the spoofed firmware.
