Is it safe to play 360 games with printed cd labels on em? I only ask cause they're much thicker than the standard dl without.

um... I don't know how it would have a CD label since it should be a dvd+r dual layer disc....

But if you're just asking if it is ok to play a backup which has a label on top of it...

as long as it is ripped, and burned with all the correct settings, yeah you're fine

no your not guess who. printable media is ok, lables no, after time it throws the balance of the disc off resulting in scratches. sometimes right after applying a label.

are you talking about a sharpie marker "label" on a dvd or a sticker? By label, I'm meaning you can have a label on which you write something on with a sharpie. Like all verbs come with the area near the bottom of the top part of the dvd+r dl with lines where you can write the title of whatever it is you burnt.

That is what I meant by saying you could have that label, not attaching some sticker or so.

Not to mention the damage to the drive spindle caused by the disks being out of balance..

These horrid sticky labels have been asked about time and time and time again all over the internet.. and the only advice given is "do not use them"

yes we are talking about the sticker labels, i would not consider a sharpie a label.

Many, many thanks to everyone. Yeah the guy that modded my xbox 360 threw in a backup of Dynasty Warriors 6 but it had those sticker labels on it, I just looked at it and said "I'm not putting that thing in my 360". Thanks for justifying my instincts fellas.

Jump over to the dvdr forum for better input. You'll get the same answer and that's to avoid using paper labels. They may look nice, but it'll just end up being a headache later.

If you want printed labels, you can buy inkjet printable Verb dvd+r dls. They're more expensive than regular Verb dvd+r dls, but about the same in the end if you were planning on buying paper labels.
