I'm just getting slightly paranoid with the posts I hear about "fall update coming soon, gotta flash the drive again! :-P" and stuff. I'm wondering if the fall update will be updated and all but the LATEST ixtreme ver are in jeopardy. (or maybe all are safe) Therefore i'm curious if I should update to the latest. (I have the 1.3 rev2 I think, default speed, on a benq from fall 07)
If I do reflash, do I have to clear out my cache? Erase all my harddrive data? IDK if by re-flashing MS will see the firmware versions or data change and be like "?? The numbers changed from last week, ...BAN!" or something. Just wondering what the deal is with that.
Also, I know the benq flashing tut's are great, but is there a specific tutorial for re-flashing? I'm not sure I need to go through the whole process if I still have my orig.bin, or if there are new steps in this case, or some steps aren't even necessary to do. If I do re-flash, I don't want it to appear to MS that my 360 just a organ transplant...maybe looking more like a flu shot. lol ;-) Thanks for any help.
So how is the reflash process different than 1st time flashing? Anything I need to add, or omit? Do I just do the tutorials like it's never been flashed before? I'm sure there has to be an "instructions for 2nd time flashing" somewhere right?
