Hi, I have a modded Wii Consolewith Wii Chipset GC2-D2C and the modchip Lattice Mach XO (LCMX0256C). I have some games which will not play on the set and some games are playing perfectly. Could anyone tell me what could be the problem. Please bear with me coz im a newbie to Wii.

Thanks in advance.

are you playing games from the same region? You can't play PAL games on a NTSC Wii or vica versa if your modchip isn't region free. If that's the case, the you can install the homebrew channel and there is an app that can make your wii region free.

EDIT
Also, how are you burning your backups? disk type, program, speed?

I still play my wii, just not as much. Gave my PSP to my son.

The games are burnt at 6x speed.

most people find that burning at either 4x or 2.4x works best with imgburn.
go here for the homebrew channel.
if you are looking for a region free program, what you are looking for is called starfox.
You might want to do some research on starfox though, because i thought that I heard somewhere that there are some potential problems. I'm not sure though.
your other option is Freeloader... Freeloader is a disk that you can buy to play games from a different region without having a modded wii. you put it in and wait for lines to show up on the screen, then you put in your game from a different region. since you have a modchip, you don't have to have the real disk. There are plenty of torrents out there. just look for datel freeloader for the wii

EDIT

there is also GeckoOs that you can use from the homebrew channel. find out more here
