im haveing my 360 flashed next month and i am wondering do i need the "stealth patches" for my games if im not going to be going on xbox live? or is there a reason other than xbox live id need to patch my games? thanx

well how do you plan on backing up your games? If you will be doing it by kreon drives, it will automatically stealth patch them, so you wouldn't have to worry about it. If you are talking about another method (WXripper), then yeah, you will need them. This is assuming you would be using the most up to date ixtreme (which requires your games to be stealth patched).

makes scence, but what about the games i downloaded? there in iso form will they also need patching?

Just use programs that check to see if they are patched. You can also fix them if they are not.

Programs I use is...

abgx360 GUI
XDVDMulleter Beta 10.2
Schtrom 4.0

HERE is a guide that walks you through the steps.

I use 3 of them just to verify that it passes properly.

I think it depends on what firmware you have flashed to your dvd-rom.

If the guy flashes it with ixtreme then your games have to be patched for them to be recognized regardless of if you are on live or not.
EDIT: Didn't see that this was already stated once above. D'oh!

Most "backup" games floating around now are pre-patched.
