Using the Sony DRX510ul dvd burner which suppose to burn at 4x speed. Trying to burn on a Fujifilm dvd-r general version 2.0/4x speed dvd but it only burns at 2x speed?
Have the lastest firmware on the burner.
Is the dvd the problem?
Thank You

What software are you using to burn? Is the burn speed set to max? Fujis are generally good discs.

My killer sig came courtesy of bb "El Jefe" mayo.

Check to see that your IDE Primary and Secondary channels are set to DMA transfer rates. If they are set to PIO the drive will never achieve 4X speeds.

Hope this helps.

Im using Nero to burn. I checked and it is set up for DMA transfer rate.
I think I found the answer. Read somewhere that Nero wont allow you to burn at 4x, it will default to 2x.
Thank you both for the replay.
