actually, you clutter up the board by NOT creating new threads fyi. Somebody may have had the same question that you had... in fact others have, and i have read them. Either you did not take the time to find those replies, or they were buried just like yours is now.
If it is the latter, the answer to your question has served to only benefit you, and noone else. This is why posting in un-related topics clutters and is frowned on.
Ok so like right now the only game i play online is Halo3 which I own. But Rock Band 2 is getting closer to being modified for customs, so that is what i want to get into in the near future. So when I flash my drive, even if im not playing online with the game I know im still at risk of being banned. But is the risk high? Because really I would like to continue getting the DLC for playing online with that game I could care less but the DLC is what I really want. So would I be able to play my Halo3 and get my DLC even though I have my drive flashed?

i hear backing up a wii game is somewhat of a pain in the arse...
Wii games are actually really easy to backup. All you need is a special reading drive like the kreon, except for the wii. But with the drive, you don't even need to flash the firmware, you just leave the stock one on it. THen it's just using a program to dump it, and then imgburn to burn it. It's just as easy, if not easier than 360 games.
Now only certain games you have to take additional steps, smash bros. or so/ But besides that, it is a really simple process too.
