I want to play my game backups on my xbox360. It appears that I have the hitachidvd drive on my xbox.
I've done a lot of research and seen that you can play burnt games without a modchip, you can just hack the firmware.
Now I have a few questions:
1) Which firmware do I need and where can I find it?
2) Will the contents of the HDD get wiped out if I flash the firmware? or does it only delete the profiles and stuff? Thing is, I play pro evo soccer 2008, and i've changed a lot of settings within the game, but it stores these changes in the hdd not the firmware right? I'm concerned about losing all this data. i dont care about losing the profile data though.
3) I've heard there's a way of modding the image file of a game so that even default firmware will read a burnt copy.
1.4 is newest for a hitachi drive. and you wont lose anything on your HD, since the HD doesnt get flashed, the dvd drive does. perhaps you should do a lot more reading before you attempt to do this, or have someone else do it for you as it appears you do not know what your getting yourself into.
