My PSP slim is 3.71 m33-2. Isn't that is running on 1.5? What is the difference?

1.50 is the old way. Just don't worry about it.

1.50 is the main CFW that was first made. Your CFW is a new updated version with a 1.50 kernel.
You are okay with the firmware that your have. Nothing to worry.
I have 4.01 M33-2 and was worried at first, but now I feel better as I got the latest updated version.

My PSP History: Fat OFW 2.60>1.50>3.71 M33>4.01 M33>4.01 M33-2>Happy =]

I'm hoping that was a typo... 1.50 isn't custom firmware, it was the first official firmware [everywhere but Japan] that was hacked to run homebrew, gracias to the PSP-Dev Team.

I did answer you in your other thread, but I'll answer you here too.
Put them in the x:\PSP\GAME150 folder.

But, DA did made a proof of concept for the custom fimrware ... Also, Slim can not have 1.50 kernel.

Ahh, I overlooked that he had a slim. I'll see if I can pull up a non 1.50 bookr...

Here we go... Here's one:

And yes, 1.50 was a custom firmware but it was not the first main custom firmware -- that spot goes to 3.40 OE in my opinion.

Sure there was the SE series, but not too many people appreciated CFW back then--I was among the majority still clinging to DevHook. It wasn't until 3.40 that I warmed up to the idea [a little later than most].
