I have removed my divX codec and installed Xvid to get rid of the "green screen" during playback. Now when using TMPEGEnc Plus the avi audio is unsupported. The avi audio is Mpeg-1 layer 3. I have read that TMPEG does not like the Xvid codec.

My question is... Is there a codec I can use that will eliminate the green screen and will work with TMPEG?

OR is there a better solution to my delema?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

FFDSHOW. Get it here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow

There probably wasn't any need to remove Divx. You more than likely need it again at some point. Another word of advice, make sure you convert the XVID audio to wav before encoding with TMPGEnc. Open your XVID with VirtualDub, go to audio and select "Full Processing Mode", go to file and select "Save WAV". Then use the wav file as the audio source in TMPGEnc.

Just an Update

You were right on the codec teegee...no problem there. The audio was MPEG-1 layer 3 (MP3) and not recognized by TMPEGnc. Fiddleing a little I found the solution.

In TMPEGEnc, under the "Option" menu, I selected "Environmental setting..." and the "Audio engine" tab. Hovering over the MPEG-1 Audio Layer III encoder selection "External program" provided me with supported decoders. I downloaded Lame.exe from here http://www.trudyholler.com/pages/download_razorlame.html.

After installing and selecting the External program the audio was decoded and re-encoded in (MP2) and worked excellent on the DVD.
