Ok, so now I flashed my sathe drive using this method

now when I turn on the xbox a red light starts flashing. What did I do wrong?

well, something did, but you didn't give us nearly enough info. How many lights. Have you tried using the hidden codes to figure out the meaning? Er... i guess just tell us everything about it first

Thanks for your reply, I have not tried any secret codes but here's what happened:

I did as instructed by the tutorial, and when I typed samread, I got the following results:

1. Primary IDE
2. Secondary IDE
3. Promary Boot Device Xtreme

so I chose Xtreme and followed the rest of the steps, reboot, samhack etc...the process seemed to go fine and everything said Ok, Ok, Ok, reboot your pc. So I rebooted my pc and when I turned my xbox on, the bottom right light flashes and the unit does not boot.

that happend to me once too
just get diffrent copy of the firmware from xbins and repeat the flash but before flashing check original and hacked firmware with firmtool to make sure the keys are the same
