I have some issues with 4.01 M33-2: Solutions?

I recently upgraded the firmware for my PSP from 3.71 M33-2 (I believe) to 4.01 M33-2 in order to play Yggdra Union. Upon finishing the upgrade, I found several unpleasant issues with it.
1. Tekken is really laggy. Whereas before it was silky smooth, the upgrade resulted in a very choppy framerate.
2. One of my save games (Force Unleashed) is listed as corrupted. Not in the save data, mind you, but an error message that pops up when I try to load it. All other information about the game save is still there when I access it.
I hope I don't find any other problems, but I have a few questions:
1. Did I mess up my install? Yggdra Union works whereas before it would just shutoff my PSP if I tried to play it with my old firmware. All other games play fine (Tekken excluded, and Force Unleashed save corrupted.)
2. Does anyone else have problem with this CFW, and if so,
3. Possible solutions? Is there some other install I should do, or should I just downgrade to 3.90?

I've been getting some huge lag with my SNES emu, I'm thinking of going back to 3.x firmware

I'm sorry I'm such an idiot. I have solved my own problem. It turns out I neglected to change the CPU Clock XMB and CPU Clock Game to 333/16. Apparently when I updated it, it set it back to default. I set it back, and Tekken is once again smooth as silk. That's the biggest worry off my chest regarding this matter. I still cannot play my old save game for Star Wars though.

The save issue isn't a terribly big problem, but any assistance rendered would be greatly appreciated.

hey rushx,
i got a quick question, you said you had 3.71m33-2 cfw did you update straight to 4.01m33-2 from 3.71?? Also did you know if .ptf themes are working??

I also have 3.71m33-2 and was trying to play yggdra union and it would also turn off my psp. Just wanted to know if 4.01m33-2 is stable and supports custom themes in .ptf

No, I went to 4.01 before 4.01 M33-2. I leapfrogged the rest. Yggdra Union works fine with the new firmware. (Really stylish game, with good voice-acting.)And my themes are working fine.

Hm... it seems my eboot PSX games stopped working after updating to 4.01 M33-2. Anyone got any ideas?

guys I have a psp of cfw 4.01M33-2 that is the latest cfw of dark alex.When i put the cso or iso of the Star Wars The Forces Unleashed ,the icon appears in the memory and when I start it the came show the white official screen of PSP and then goes completely black and stops .The game then freezes.Can some tell me the reason ,also solution
