Yeah, the Wii doesn't like +R media. At least the ISO loader does not. So my options were to get -R or change the book-type.
Changing book-type makes it seem as if the "DVD+R" is a "DVD-ROM" to the WII or any other player.
Luckily, one of my drives is a Lite-on and I was able to get a utility to change the book type. IMG burn has this feature built in but only for LG and Samsung drives.

Assuming you are patching the games and your ISOs are good; -4100 is a bad burn or media/booktype issue. It is common knowledge.
Even if game is not compatible it will try to load and get past the point.
Try boom-blox PAL or Order Up!. Those are both confirmed compatible. Not only by me but others in the community, if you still get -4100 your start looking at your burns, media and patched ISOs.

I should ad the booktype setting definitely works and fixes the 4100. I tried it personally.

am not sure how much clearer I can make it. You need to adjust your book-type. If your book type is not seen as DVD-ROM it is not going to work.
You have the solution handed to you on a sliver platter..

So quick check list for 4100 error.
ISO must be good and patched with the back up tool.
Burn must be good.
Book-type must be set to DVD-ROM
Some people, depending on burner type and program used to burn will set the book-type to DVD-ROM automatically.
So srood, what burner do you have?

Srood13,
Put one of the games you burned into your PC then start IMGburn. then click on "verify disk".
This will bring you to another screen where IMG burn will display information about the media in your drive and how the book-type was set on the last burn.
This will display information about your disk in the drive.
There is a section labeled
"Physical Format Information (Last Recorded):"
mspaint
Under that you should see "Book Type"
What does it say there?
For me, if the booktype was anything besides "DVD-ROM" it would not work.
Once you let me know what model burner you have, I can tell you if you can change the booktype information.

Why couldn't you do the patch? You can NOT play games that aren't patched.

The method I use is place the EXE, the key file and the ISO in the same directory.
Right click on the ISO and choose Open With, browse for the exe and it should work.
I never got drag and drop or other methods to work, but I must admit I didn't try very hard.

You need to make sure the "common-key", "backup-creator.exe" and the ISO you are trying to patch are in the same directory.
Then open a command prompt at the directory and type
"backup-creator.exe nameof.iso" and press enter.

Hey mrmrme,
I assume you have also gotten this to work. Can you please confirm the Last Recorded book type of your working burns?

Did you change the book-type? If not, and it is working I wonder if your burner and software is changing it automatically? Could you put "Order up" in your DVD drive and open up IMG burn then click verify scroll down the information about the media .. you should see something like..

Just make sure you look at Physical Format Information (LAST RECORDED)
and tell me if it says DVD-ROM
Thanks

hi all
It works for me now,,, thank you for all of you :) .. ju need to back up creater which has come with the wii loader , and u need to make 2 copies of the ISO on your desktop.call the first folder ISO1
The secound (ISO2)
- In the secound folder (ISO2) you put the back up creater.exe
- Right click in the ISO file and open with back up creater.exe ,, you have to wait about 5-10 minutes,, and then you get a new ISO file which calls Pa,,,.iso
-Burn the new pa...iso with Imag burn...
Im coming with more ditali step by step later ,,
Have fun
Thanx all

Now i'm sure, it was a bad .iso, I tryed to put a backuped game into my non-chip/modified Wii, and the DVD-Dumper worked, so i guessed it was going to work, but last night i put the RNSE (Need for Speed) and was completely diferent in all aspects so now i know, "no chip, no burned games reading", except, of course, doing the ISO loader correcly and with the original game dumped, by the way the backup creator worked for me with the "run/cmd" only. i'll post when the game is burned the results.
as always.....+karma and lots of thanks!!

Oh my gosh!!! It worked perfectly, the usual you know, loading times a little bit longer the intro video was choppy (just a little bit) but the game ran like the original one so:
Game: Need For Speed Carbon
Cable: HDTV
Burned on: Verbatim DVD+R 16x
With: Nero 6 at 16x book-type DVD-ROM (of course)
Problem: Just a little bit choppy on the intro video and loading times little bit longer
achinga....!!!

Now that I've had a chance to play quite a few Wii games, I realize how much the Wii sucks. What do you guys think?
