Ok so I try to update the psp to 4.01 m33 so I have the cfw and ofw files rename the ofw to 401 put them both in the Update folder and the programs show up as corrupted in my games line.

Did you also have the 1.50 kernel addon?

Try this,
turn off psp>hold right side button while turning on PSP>Go to Configuration>change to 1.50kernel.
exit and run the update again. Hopefully that helps.
