3.90m33-3 install problem

ha! it was like a day ago i was writing how i was going to update and here i am asking someone to bail me out.

i updated from 3.71m33-?whatever to 3.90m33-3; i was in the process of trying to install the 1.5kernel when i noticed i had no files on my xmb.

i uploaded the install same as the 3.90 install, via usb. except this time when i went to the " game > memory stick > " on the xmb, instead of listed all my dozens of programs (or even the one installer) it said "no games present" or some such thing.

anyone run into this?
did i forget something? not renaming my one and only "GAME" folder to something like "game150" & "game390"?
do i have some plugin enabled/faulty settings that could be doing this?

Format your memory card, first.

If that does not work, in this order -

1.Check USB device in recovery is set to Memory stick.

2.Reset Flash1.

Then see what you have.

did you manage to update to 3.90m33 or have you still not managed to get there yet?

im not 100% sure what the problem is

did you have homebrew on the memory stick before you upgraded and they dont show up now

or does the 1.50 kerenl installer not show up

make sure you put the 150kernel (or whatever its called) with the eboot.pbp in into the game folder.

should i be backing up the memory stick before hand before i mess with FLASH? ive never had to f*** with the FLASH before so im not certain what it is im doing but resetting it..?

i have managed to upgrade to 3.90m33-3 just fine.

i had a few dozen homebrew (all very much working) on the stick prior to the upgrade and they do not show up along with the 1.5 kernel installer.

the 150kernel is placed in the game folder automatically. i placed the eboot there for organizational purposes (like the other programs).

in recovery mode:
configuration > xmb usb device : memory stick

advanced > format flash1 and reset settings

everything was visible and working fine on cfw3.71. the reason i updated was to use IR, which 3.71 doesnt use for some reason.

everything sits in the psp: \psp\game folder. i have NEVER understood why people make reference to \GAME150 & \GAME3XX (or GAME4XX) folders because i throw everything in the same one.

nothing showed up on the empty card :\

it has been suggested that above cfw3.80 the psp suddenly gets picky and my (apparently) knock off sony pro duo means there is compatibility issues?

have you heard anything like this or know a resolution that does NOT involve buying a pandora/magicstick or an overpriced sony pro duo at the shoppes?

right game150 and game3XX is ready set fw folders.

which means if you have a homebrew that only works on 3.XX and another that only works on 1.50 you dont have to keep swaping the kernel for the game folder

basicly put any homebrew that needs 1.50 in the game150 folder and anything that uses a higher kernel in the game3XX folder (in your case game390)

have you tried putting other media type on the memory card pictures videos music....

if they dont show up then these a problem with the card or the fw (likely the card)

if they do show up then try putting the 150 kenrel installer in the game390 folder and see if it shows up

also go to recovery mode and switch the game folder kernel to 3.90 it might be on 1.50 but that should not effect them showing up.

other media files do show up. (well, the images - video and audio are in formats used by previously working homebrew)

nothing happened when i moved the 150installer into GAME390

hi i got abit of a prob im on cfw 3.71 m33 every time i try to upgrade to 3.90 m33 it hangs at 99% even if i install 3.80m33 or any other... any help would be g8...
