dvd+r to dvd+r with nero 6 fails ????????

why does it fail when i try to copy a dvd+r to dvd+r with nero it gets to about 90 %and then fails ?
any help or advice will be grate thanks

also is there a plug in i could get for nero 6 to convert avi files

Maybe you are copying on-the-fly and your getting a data transfer error (perhaps) ?
It could be that the source disc is scratched/dirty.

More info would be needed to give a definite answer>

If your using Nero 6 , do you also have NeroVision Express 2 within the Nero 6 package ?
As this will do your .AVI files !!;-)

the disc is not dirty or damage i have tried it with 2 both copied from my pc but i used the dvd writer in TMPGEnc dvd author and both fail
dont think i have that plug in in my Nero do u where i could get it or what does it come under in Nero as i cant c it thanks for your time

If you are using WinXP O/S then you would hit START > ALL PROGRAMS > Nero > NeroVison Express 2 > NeroVision Express

Are you sing Nero 6 Ultra , or perhaps Nero 6.X.X.XX ?

If you give me some specific info of what method(s) you use exactly then I will try to help more...

sorry ive got Nero 6 but i havent got the express 2 is it some sort of plug in i have the normal Nero xpress but not 2 also i have heard of Nero recode but i cant find that on it is it not a fill version of Nero ive got?

when i go thew start and the n Nero it says Nero 6 ultra edition but it dont say Nero express 2 it just say Nero express but it has got Nero back it up are u lost as i am thanks for your time

I am running winxp pro on my Athlon 2500+ with a TDK AID-840 burner and my Nero 6.3.0.3 would crap out burning to a dvd-r after using dvdshrink 3.14 and I don't know why.

After that incident, I just went with the other "free" tools including imgtools and dvd decrypter and have not had a problem burning.

Only other prob is playback with menus intact and movie. The company logo screen and menu would play slo-mo but the movie, however, plays fine.

Thoughts.

write the i have checked your list compared to mine i have all of it except nerovision 2 is this a plug in and would i be able to get it what is the full vision of your n ero called e.g nero6 577.58

Doing DVDR to DVDR (whether - or +) is easily done , open Nero Express > Copy Entire Disc
[do not use 'Quick Copy' option)

NeroVision Express is part of Nero 6 Ultra Edition (Nero 6.0.0.0)

I do NOT use Nero StartSmart...

That IS right !!: )

Right goto the top option after you have opened it:

DVD-Video

Then add file[s] (a 700mb movie will show up as 4Gb btw).

yo im back!!
ive tried Nero a nd still no luck it fails im also tried dvd decripter and that failed at 91%?
so im takeing that it is something to do with either the way it was converted or the way it was authored (i used both TMPGEnc programs for this )
i noticed when i played the dvd in my x box the start menu was at the end (chapter selection)?? puzzled
so what do u think i should try or do ?
please help im lost and has any 1 ever had this problem

p.s i didnt put any chapters in my movie ??

hi again!!
my problem is when i try to copy a dvd+r to dvd+r it fails in Nero and dvd decripter?
i think it is something to do with the way i have authored it as it is the only thing i can think of what do u think?
have u ever had this problem?
some 1 has gave me links to some guides on how to author the dvd properly so i will try that and see if that does any thing
another problem is lame mp3 what should i do with the audio in tmpenc i have been told that the problem is that it is compresed does this mean the hole film or just the audio?
and how should i go about decompesing it ?
any guides or pages with info on how to do this would be grate thanks for all your time
