So i had the 3 lights of death...Fixed them with an x-clamp replacement..
but in the process of trial and error, i accidently ripped one of my wires running to my fan...but i solder that back together..

so i finally got my machine running, fans were spinning, but the past couple days i've noticed that the fan on the left (Red and black wires) wouldn't spin at all. It was like it was trying to spin, but just couldn't get started. and i could get it spinning if i spun it alittle. But then i noticed it wouldn't spin as fast as the other one..

that was ok, but just yesterday, i would spin my fan to get it started, play the game for about 10mins, and then my machine would overheat and i would get the blinking 2 lights. and then i saw that my left fan was no longer spinning but my right one was (blue and brown)

so today i thought maybe it was my soldering job, so i went a bought a new "stock" fan, just tried it, and i have the same problem....????
and one more thing, when i go and turn my machine off, i hit the front power button, console turns off, but fans continue to spin..only way to stop them is too pull the power plug.

Help me plz??

any suggestions, ideas?....

i have no idea whats going on why the left fan won't start spinning, and when i spin it to get going, it only runs at half speed...???

When you ripped the wire was it still attached to the header on the mobo? If so then maybe the connection from the header to the mobo isn't solid.

XBOX Halo Ed. = DuoX2 w/250gb HD
Xbox 360 Red Elite 120GB HDD = no-stealth 1.6 & XBReboot V3 & 1TB usb hdd
PS2 Slim = freemcboot v1.8 - PSP Black Slim = 5.00m33-6
Wii = w/ Blue XCM ii-case, Wiikey2 & softmodded

You should try to test the voltage with the fan plugged in. One should be ground, one should be 5v, one should be 12v.

solder it back onto the board. Take the board out of the metal case and look on the bottom of the board. You should see the contacts. All you have to is take a low watt soldering iron and fix the points on the bottom. If you're new to soldering then have a friend do it or take your time and practice on something else first.

here's the non hdmi fan connector. The hdmi is a non standard 3 pin (ground is in the middle)

Hi, i have just had this problem with one of my fans not working coz i screwed through a vent light wire by accident, think i blew something on the motherboard, i got over it by splicing the 2 wires together on the side that worked! Just a suggestion..
