I replaced laser because i was getting the load bubble hat would'nt go away, now I can play PS2 games on my 80gb unit but i will not play regular dvd's or bluray dvds or ps3 games
Any suggestions?????

What did you replace? Just the laser? Or the entire laser assembly?

Some of the newer models have two sets of lasers, so you might have replaced just the DVD laser... if that's possible. Anyway, the Blu-Ray laser might still be defective.

Does your PS3 have two lasers in it or just one?

I replaced just the laser kes-400a (single). Is there a setup step I'm missing??. I'm connected via av cables into a 62" HDTV on side input just for testing. This unit was going to be a pesent for my grandson.

Hm... well, I'm not sure. It could be that you've got it aligned wrong, but I doubt that's it. If it was that, then I don't think ANY disc would be read.

I'm at a loss. Hopefully, somebody else knows some more.

Unfortunately, i don't really know much about the laser assembly of the PS3, so i can't really give any other advice.
