Playing backups on Xbox Live

Hey you guys -
I flashed my drive a couple weeks ago with iXtreme 1.4, and I've been playing stealthed backups since then without any problems. However, every time I play a burned game, I unplug my ethernet cable before booting it up, just so to be on the safe side, since I don't know what it takes to get your console banned.
So my question is this - if you're running backups that are properly stealthed (I used DVDMulleter to check), can you play them online over Xbox Live? Is it safe to be connected to Live while you play a backup in singleplayer mode? And for a game like Madden or Halo, for example, would it be safe to play an actual online head-to-head game?
I know that people always say "you WILL get banned, it's just a matter of time," and I guess I can accept that... but if you try to play a burned game over Live, in that case is it an instant ban or something? Or do they work fine with no additional risk other than the chance you're already taking by flashing your firmware to begin with?
Sorry if this seems like a longwinded question... I just want to know the real story so I can be cautious.

the same lame questions never ends.
point is, if your 360 is modded you will be banned and the quicker you come to terms with that the more fun you will have playing on live while you can.
also, you say you unplug the eathernet cable before you play burned games,whats the point?
you will still be banned when that time comes.
so just play and enjoy while it last.
when the banhammer hits us hopefully the mod gods will work out the problems with new firmware and we all go and buy new consoles for new fix, then we will be happy again and m$ will make a few more dollars and will be happy as well.

Hey edited by ddp - way to read the thread. I said "I know you WILL eventually get banned." I'm asking if you get banned instantly if you try to play a burned game on Live? edited by ddp Probably, but I'm sure somebody could answer it without being a edited by ddp.

I read the question and it is a good question, fudpucker may have just been having a bad day. I see you understand that you will eventually be banned, but you're asking how to best prolong the ban and what steps should you take to try not to be banned so fast. That's a good question and I would like to know too.

there is no way to prolong the fact that you will be banned.
when the banhammer drops it will drop on your head, as well as mine.
the reason i said, enjoy it while it last.
remember that you have a modded console, so when the bannings start the only way to prevent yours from being banned is to not play online anymore, but as soon as you do log onto live you will be banned.
im sorry it seems i had a bad day (lol) but thats the way it is!

Ahhhh, its been a while since ive strolled around the afterdawn park, always so hostile. what a place!
Goonie, i have a friend who plays only original games on live and never plays backups on live. he hasnt been banned for 3 years. Me, i played backup games on live like it was going out of style and i got banned year and a half. just do that, cuz theres no magic trick for when the ban-hammer hits (that rhymed, u like that)
