The PSP and I had a falling out some months ago, and for the life of me I cannot remember how to upgrade my custom firmware.

I've got a fatboy, and OS 3.71 M33.

I've done it twice before, once to install custom firmware for the first time, second time to upgrade from 3.51 to 3.71, so I'm no stranger in the field, i just can't remember anything.

I'd like to upgrade to whatever the latest and greatest is. Preferably via a .exe installer.

Also I have lumines v 1.0 if this matters at all. I seem to remember having to use it before randomly.

If you have CFW with 1.50 kernel, use MUX 2.0 Application to upgrade to 4.01 M33-2. Sorry, all I have to upgrade.

Right, I remember you have to downgrade back to 1.50 making your psp a blank slate again, but its that whole process that is blurry to me. What I need is someone to explain how to do it again, or to point me in the right direction.
