hey everyone, I am tryign to back up a dvd using dvd x copy and when it gets finsished it says everything went fine but when i try to play it i get nothing at all, what could cause this?

Ok Altered, we need more info, the dvd u burned doesn't play in WHAT???? Player??? your Burner??? what make of media did u use, Make of burner etc etc. But I'll take a wack at it anyways, I take it that your stand alone DVD player can't play the DVD, some of the older dvd players don't read burned DVD's, most new ones do. What speed do you burn at if 8x a lot of players can't play if burned at that speed is the media + or minus some players only like the minus media. Did you play it back in your burner?? I'll wait til you post again before saying anything further.

Asus P4PE MoBo,533FSB,2.4 iTEL,512mb PC2700,ATI 8500LE 128mb,ATI TV Wonder Pro R/C,Teac CD-W58E,PLEXTOR PX-708A,Western Digital Cav.SE 80 GiG w/8mb data buffer,this custom made system is running on WinXP.

ok, NEC burner, tried with each dvd type, and the particular movie is "under the tuskan sun" i havent tried it in a home burner but ti wont play in my computer, not sure what speen it was burned at, what would you recommend?

I would recommend using DVD Shrink & it's FREE & the newest version does the burn as well.
