Ok, I have an old computer that had the motherboard burn out.... and I have an even older computer that im thinking about trying to use in my room.. would it be possible to take the processor out of the old computer and put it into the older computer? or does a burnt out motherboard equal burnt out processor?

No, not necessarily. What do you mean by burnt out? If it was a power surge then both are PROBABLY gone. But motherboards fail all the time without CPUS dying. You will have to make sure both are compatible though.

Depends what the board and CPU are. With newer tech, putting a CPU in an incompatible board, it either won't fit, or it just won't work. Older stuff though, the burninating could well happen... :P

Thanks I think Ill just let it rest in peace... I was trying to bring back a V2 primier that was made in like 2001 or something... not worth the trouble.. a processor wouldnt do much, it'll be similar to a ressurected zombie or somethin lol...
