is sony the only brand of pro duo that is magic gate supported?
or are there any cheaper alternatives?

i just upgraded to 3.91m33-3 then 4.01m33-2 about 30mins ago.
i was having a problem in the fact that my recently discovered counterfeit SONY stick was not displaying homebrew.

throwing the programs on the 32mb stick that came with it seems to resolve this issue and suddenly i can see programs on the XMB.

isn't that kind of thinking what got you in to trouble in the first place ??

buy a legit card they really aren't that expensive... i recommend newegg if you're in the U.S. or nearby to it.

buying a really good counterfeit and not knowing it is what got me into this trouble.

i am looking for a legit card, just wondering if SONY is the only magic gate supported card or not.

in my area, westend GTA (greater toronto area), cards like kingston & sandisk go for 15-50$ depending on size. some SONY brand cards can fetch 100$+ but average 25-30% more in cost.

(rule of thumb: whatever sony charges for a card size - say 2gb - is the MAXIMUM you should pay for a card twice that size - 4gb - in any other brand.)

pick up a 4gb sandisk ultra 2, its magicgate compat and has a 15mb/s transfer rate.
