Ok let me just start out by saying I have never ?modded? anything before or have any knowledge in doing it. However, I do wish to play copied 360 games on my xbox 360. I realize this does requires you to mod the 360. Is there any link you can provide me that gives a step by step process to doing this? How hard is it to do and what are the chances of screwing up my 360? How much will it cost? Is it easy to get caught and/or suspended from xbox live? I know how to copy DVDs. Is the process similar? Sorry if this has already been discussed somewhere on the site, but I couldn?t find it and sorry if you're not allowed to discuss this on the site.
Hey there. Welcome. Modding the 360 is quite simple. There are many youtube videos that show howto open the 360 case and access the insides. The only thing you really need to deal with inside is the dvd-rom. Make sure your computer has a SATA port on the motherboard, or you have to buy a PCI card that provides that. There is a sticky on the board here that is a great howto on what you need to mod the 360. Once you get the drive hooked up to a pc, you need to burn the Slax cd, and after that it is quite simple. (any noob can do it). First thing you'd need to do is check the HOWTO and find out what drive your 360 has. You can do that without opening the console too... Anyways, you do all that, flash the drive, and burning the discs is a whole new ballgame. Its quite simple if you have the Samsung drive available on ebay. I got mine shipped from the UK to Canada and it took 4 busniness days.
The only thing I can advise is check the ultimate sticky and read up on the howtos and tuts, then ask questions on what your not to sure on. We'd be glad to help you out.
This has been answered so many times now, I love it when these questions come. Just do a search. Here's a hint: Get textbook's flashing guide for noobs

How comer you said you need to burn slax? Only time that is needed is if you have a hitachi, and while it is the most convenient way for Mode B, it isn't necessary. Just wondering...
