Is there any way to increase the volumne on movies BEFORE buring them (short of turning the tv up all the way <grin> which I have to do with "Rest Stop - Don't Look Back"). It's very annoying when the movies play so softly you can't hear what is going on. (Yes I am old and slightly hard of hearing, but store bought movies don't do this, only the ones I burn.)

Is there any fiv for this, except a hearing aid? hehehe

Hugs,
Elf

What is the source? Are these AVI conversions?

1bonehead, these aren't backups. They are movies I have downloaded offline.
Mystic, yes they are all avi formats. I tried one that was already in vod format, but it didn't come out right so now I stick with movies that are in avi format and convert them with WinAvi.

Elf

Well WinAvi is not ever recommended around here. Switch to DVD Flick (free). Under Project Settings-> Audio, you can increase/decrease the volume and convert to 5.1 if you like.

Thanks MysticE. I will try that. I think I already have Flick in my computer. I'll have to look and see.
