i just got my psp last wednesday and when i am about to download some games on it,my psp won't read it..i brought it to the mall to let the pof. download games on it..but they told me that there are no software available for it..they said that i still have to wait for monts..by the way im from the philippines..anybody can help me?i cant wait for a few months more...
To downgrade (and get a custom firmware) or unbrick your PSP, you need the Pandora's Battery. There is three ways to get the Pandora Battery. You will also need to make the Magic Memory Card.
1. Find a someone who has a Custom Firmware that is willing to let you borrow their psp. You will use their psp to softmod the battery. Meaning using software to make the Pandora. If you willing to do this, follow this guide:

2. Hardmod the battery. Meaning that you have to open that battery up, and pulling out a pin. Note that if you pull the wrong one, your battery would be messed. If you are willing to do this, follow this guide

3. The most safest way, is to buy a premade pandora battery from the internet (use google or ebay).If so, follow this guide or use the same guide on the second step. I recommend buying from DealExtreme for $10.

NOTE : TA-088 motherboards - Sony has just made new motherboards that stops the usuage of Pandora. This does not count if you update your firmware
TA-088 v1 - Came with 3.71 firmware or higher. It can not make pandora battery, you have to get it somewhere else. It
still can get custom firmware.
TA-088 v2 - Came with 3.90 firmware or higher. Same as v1, but the magic memory card needs to installed with DC 7 ( It needs a custom firmware PSP) GUIDE TA-088 v3 - Came with 4.01 firmware or higher. Pandora Proof.
Hello Iam sorry I need some help please I just bought 2 Black Slim psps:) for my Brothers for Christmas:) now I know how to mod psps but this Psps where weird The firmware on both of them where 4.01 So Iam Afraid I have a Ta-88 mother Board:( But iam Not Sure because i cant tell what kind Mother board it has:( I dont know How:( and is there away with out opening the psp:( I have Pandora Battery and magic memory stick the Psp did not recognise it:(

and Lumines:) can soomeone Please tell me if theres another way oround these TA-88 Mother Boards
if they came with 4.01 its a very bad sign ... and you said you already tried a working pandora battery ... so it's very likely you have the unhackable TA88 v3 ...
keep an eye on dark alex's blog there's nothing else you can do ... perhaps try to return them ??
Hello Donaldo first of all I want to thank U for replying to my Question:) Okay so if Return this Psps to walmart is there A good chance I can get a another psp that is Hackable like the New Bundle psps either the Blue Nfl Madenn,Red Godofwar,Silver Dexter and what are my chances from 1to10??????
And when you say Unhackable do you mean its Just in Possible to Hack it this moment,or Forever:(
