I can't access ecovery menu

Hi,

Alhtough I have followed the steps to access recovery menu but all in vain. I know that my slim PSP with version 3.8 M33-5 is a CFW (is it?) as I have paid somebody to modify it.

Please help if it's possible and what is the other way (Pressing R-button upon switching it on)?

1. Take out the Battery
2. Turn it on while holding R
