Cannot access flash0 in recovery mode

I have semi bricked my psp. Whenever i try to access flash0 in the recovery mode, it always sets my psp usb to the memorystick drive. Is there something i'm doing wrong? I've always been able to access it in xmb by changing settings in configuration. How come it doesnt work within the recovery mode?

Ive also tried the system recovery by using many different kinds of tools to try to rewrite the firmware, but whenever i try to run anything off of psp\game\recovery\eboot.pbp, it just shows a black screen and the psp shuts off automatically after a couple of seconds. Is there something wrong with the recovery menu?

try format the flash1 and see if that allows you to access the flash0

:S this is likely not to work but try taking the memory stick out

if that doesnt work then you will need to use pandoras battery to unbrick it

(theres a semi brick guide for the slim thats the one you need)

sorry this sound a bit stupid but are you clicking connect to usb on recovery mode or connect to flash0?

Well, nothing i tried works, but yesterday, i just did the pandora's battery hack, so now its all good. thanks for helping.
