Hi, someone gave me a star View digital receiver. I have read the posts but still cant get it to work. I cant find the latest codes. Can someone please tell me how to connect it up, the codes and how to set it up?

Press menu > system info & tell us what it says please.

You`ll need to update the b0x with the Crypstar v.1.4 - core 2.57 bin.
You`ll need the GTRom v. 4.00 also. (both of these can be found in eamos FTA library under my sig in the st@rview folder).
All the info on updating, cables etc. can be found in the second link under my sig.

thanks noely, but ive no idea what all that means!! Im completely thick when it comes to all this.

"eamos FTA library" is somewhere on this website?

this .bin file - do i have to connect the box to my computer?

So all i have to do is download those two files from the folder on to a memory stick and put the memory stick into the receiver and upload the files. Sorry I am probably wrecking your head as mine is trying to get this to work.

Ok Bud in Noels absence here goes... you need a null modem Cable to transfer the downloads from your PC onto the starview box, Do you have one?

no i dont have one. can i not just use a memory stick? if not ill go and get null modem cable.
i have an Apple Mac will that make any difference?

and the memory stick that your talking about is for the new SV4

It might be a bit tricky on the Mac, you`ll probably need to find someone with windows (preferably xp).
