Steven Fiatarone, 55, of Florida, has been sentenced to three years probation today for his part in running a server used by a Warez scene group. Additionally, Fiatarone was fined $2000 USD. According to the US DOJ, Fiatarone's server, nicknamed "The Nite Ranger Hideout" was located in a school in Virginia and Fiatarone uploaded over 23,000 files to the server in 2002 and 2003. He was lucky in the sentencing, it could have been worse.

I was surprise to ss that he got probation I was sure they would have given him at least a year. The only way he got the probation was because he turned info over toi the FBI to get others on the Warez scene.
