Alright, I have a GC2-D2C Wii chipset and a D2Pro9 with a wiiclip. I can play a backup of an NTSC game with no problems whatsoever, and I've managed to install the homebrew channel.
Here's where my problem starts. I have GeckoOS on my SD card and I am able to run it. So far, starting my Pal TP disc from the Wii menu leads to a black screen and my wiimote turning off. Using GeckoOS to restart by pressing B has also lead to me getting back to the Wii's menu, starting up TP, and getting a black screen with my wiimote turning off.
I tried changing some settings in the GeckoOS, such as setting the Region Free mode to ON/YES, and forcing NTSC. On some occasionas I'd get a green screen and my wiimote would stay on, but that's as far as I've gotten so far.
Another thing is, when activating GeckoOS, after it checks the disc, it says that it finds no SD Codes, so I dont know what thats all about.
What should I enable in GeckoOS to make this work? Do I even need GeckoOS? If I don't, what should I do to make my chip enable region free?
I've searched around and the official site has left me even more confused, while searching through a few pages on here, and using the search at the top has give me pretty much nothing. Even the sticky didn't seem to have what I need. If the answer is out there I guess I'm terrible at searching.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Your probably using the newest version of GeckoOS with Ocarina (a wii cheat program) and that's what the 'no sd codes' found thing is about.
Why don't you just use an NTSC version backup? O.o
Try google.

Eh, I already have the PAL version, and a lot of games are much more easily found in PAL than NTSC.
But yeah, I am using the newest one. You think a downgrade would help?

Oh and thanks a lot, love that site, but I was avoiding shelling out for a premium account, more of a torrent guy.

PAL version of TP will not work with NTSC(U) Wii. It is not compatible.
You need to get a NTSC(U) version of it.
Keep in mind that some out of region games will not be region free compatible. Even tho Gecko OS/RF has the better compatibility not all will boot.

Some of the ones in red can be booted using Gecko OS/RF but not all. So all you can really do is test. But it is always better to download the same region games if possible.
I also sent you a PM ArkadiyG did you get it?

Yeah, thanks, but that wasn't really the problem heh, I can find things very well actually, I just had the PAL version already, thought I'd try that.
