My friend gave me 3 Blu-Ray mkt Format Movies on a 16GB SD So I can watch it on PS3.

1.Simpsons Movie 4gb
2.Transformers 3gb
3.Resident Evil Extinction 4gb

The Size are really Small but Have allot of Quality. My question is it possible to put these on a DVD-R or DVDR-DL and still get the Same Quality and 5.1 Sound and play it on PS3

the bluray forum would be better for this question. the only time the PS3 comes into play is when choosing a format to burn it in.

I'm assuming they're mkv files, not mkt.

...and what is an SD? Are you talking about a SanDisk flash drive? A memory card?

Well, whatever.

Since they're all less than 4.378 GB, you should be able to use tsMuxer to mux them to Blu-Ray format and burn them onto regular single-layer DVDs.

Open them in tsMuxer, choose the Blu-Ray (it might be called AVCHD... I forget) option, and mux them.

What you'll get is a folder. Go to ImgBurn, choose the "Build" mode, and select that folder. You'll be prompted to burn using UDF 2.5, and you should click "OK" and burn it.

Just make sure you use top quality DVDs. I forget which others are good, but I use Sony, and I know they're supposed to be extremely good quality. So... yeah.

Hope that helped out.

EDIT:

Doing this, the only thing you'll need is a lot of memory. No quad-core, no dual-Cell, no Giga-core processors needed.

The muxing time might be a bit long, though.

I tired that and I got a 4 1/2inch Green Border at the bottom of the screen. Than was told I had to Calculate the rest of Missing Pixels

The PS3 video creation thread would be more helpful, but basically, what you've got to do is re-encode the video because it doesn't have a normal aspect ratio (16:9 or 4:3). The PS3 thinks that there should be stuff in those missing lines, so it just plops down a green border to compensate. (What you want to get is a standard resolution, which, in the case of 720 file, is 1280x720.)

To recode the video, you have to add borders onto the top and/or bottom of the video in order to make up those missing pixels.

There are various ways you can do this, but I like to use AviSynth and MeGUI.

Download the two programs. Additionally, you might want to try looking for an AviSynth script creator program, (because AviSynth doesn't have a GUI... and MeGUI has a built-in script creator, but I'm not sure how good it is) but that's not necessary.

If you decide not to bother with the script creator, just use Notepad and save the file as an .avs file.

Anyway, the script you want is something along these lines:

DirectShowSource("C:/...path.../movie.mkv")
AddBorders(0, # of pixels on top, 0, # of pixels on bottom)

Just type that into Notepad, save it as an .avs file, and you're good.

Then load up your script in MeGUI, and in the preview screen, you should see that your video now has cool new borders on the top and bottom.

Use whichever encoder you like (x264 is the best, I believe) and re-encode the video.

Now with tsMuxer, open your new video and your old .mkv file. Choose the streams you want, and you should be good from there.
