Banned 360 & Gamertag?

So i have a question, if my 360 gets the perma-ban from LIVE will the XBLIVE Gamertags whove been playing on this console be banned as well? Like if i put my GT on a newer un-banned console will i still be able to play on live with my GT and all my achievements? Because my Gamerscore is up to 36,000GS after having my GT since December 23 2005.

well you would be thinking wrong, as it would be stupid to ban your IP when you could then just use a proxy to sign back in. or you could never get back onto live at all. like 'guesswho' said, they ban the console, not the GT.

Yeah it makes sense money wise for MS to only ban the console.
Especially if you've already pre-paid for Live. You either get an unbanned console to keep playing or they keep your money, since they wouldn't refund it.

this question was answered a while back, i think it was like 3 years ago!!!! ;) "Only" the console gets banned, its all over the forums this answer.

Because the perfect answer has not yet been achieved... and here it is...
When xbox bans you, they implement their uber secret finger scanning pads hidden in the xbox controllers. They then take an eye scan through the tv set (yes, microsoft can see you through your tv screen... even when your xbox is turned off), and match it up with a blood test (they secretly take a blood screening from your hospital, as microsoft has an agreement with the Federal Government to cease any information they wish). On a side note, if you come back HIV positive, XBLive segregates you to a private server in order to keep the other live users in a pristine environment.
Once you have been detected to be using a mod, or HIV positive, microsoft then sends out their secret service to take your first born captive - Bill gates has developed a taste for babies in his retired state... preferably broiled and basted with a light buttery glaze.
If you do not have a first born, they proceed to stage 2 - banning you from the ability to communicate with the outside world... via xblive.
To be sure that the punishment sticks, as part of stage 3 (which is currently being approved by the Federal Government), they send a special attack squad to break your legs and confine you in your house... cutting your cable and all communication with the outside world.
Stage 4 is currently being developed, but I have heard of word that if microsoft has determined that you still have the ability to somehow communicate with somebody in some way shape or form, they will perform a hellen kellerobotomy on you... severing your vocal chords, poking out your eyes, and blowing out your ear drums to ensure that you are no longer connected to any forms of communication possible.
Stage 5 - strictly debatable right now as stage 3 still needs approval - if you manage to figure out morse code, sign language, or braile, they will then take you to a facility set in place to restrict further violation, where they will strap you down to a table floating on a blow up raft in a giant room full of hundreds of spider monkeys trapped in bubbles (a'la super monkey ball) where they will bump you senseless and further remove your will to live.

Since I would be bumped to Stage 3, I was developing a work around until I read about the Hellen Kellerbotomy. Looks like I'll stick to playing with my Wii...
