Hello everyone, I recently got a NME 2.0 xhip for my 360, I have a question though (More of a fear) Can I play on Live while playing a backup (burned game)
I'm not saying turn on my chip, throw in the backup and go find an online match. I mean Sign into xbox live, throw in the game and play it in single player. Any chance of getting banned like that?
if you mod your 360 in any way, other than doing a simple case swap, you will eventually get banned. i dont care if its chipped, or flashed, you will get banned. so you might as well play on live with your burnt discs while you can.
I honestly don't really know the answer to this. I haven't done any mod chipping to the box (except for the original x-box). Does MS detect the mod chip right away like the original, and ban you, or does the NME work like flashing the drive, where it depends on the backup/other unknowns, etc, and you might be able to play on live for months before you finally get banned?
Having only done flashing, I really don't know this.
The easiest thing to do is to probably link to their site, it's like a little chip that goes onto your DVD drive, you can activate it by holding the power button on your xbox a little longer (5sec) and it'll only read backups, turn it off turn it on normal and it'll only read originals
when they ban do they ban the gamertag? or other stuff as well
