Playing ISO file games - Error, help!

Hi all

I imagine this is a pretty common problem so sorry if you have answered it a million times already!

I have a PSP-1001, and system software is 3.10 OE-A (if this helps). I mainly play my games via the memory stick by pasting the ISO files in the ISO folder (funny enough!) but sometimes they do not work and have the following error code -
80020148. I always have a UMD inserted otherwise the games will not run.

Many of times these games are rar or CSO files which i convert with the associated programs, making them ISO files.

Is there something i need to change in advanced settings? Or the firmware? I can provide any further info if it will help!!

1. Try upgrading the firmware to 4.01 M33

2. If it doesn't work after, try this

1. Turn off your PSP fully (by holding the power button)
2. Turn it on again while holding the R button
3. This should bring you to the Recovery Mode
4. Go to Config
5. Click the UMD mode until you reach to NP9660
6. Exit the Recovery Mode

Do not mess with the Recovery mode unless you know what you are doing.
