PSP Freezes After Gameboot

My psp freezes after gameboot, or hangs then shuts off. But only does that when I play homebrew. I also have a custom gameboot.

What homebrew applications are you running?

What firmware is your PSP (obviously custom because you have a custom gameboot, but firmware version is still helpful)?

Make sure that, if it is 1.50 homebrew, you have homebrew version set to 1.50 in the recovery menu (Hold R when you turn on the PSP after a hard reset. Then go to configuration and make sure the GAME folder homebrew is set to 1.50). You can know if it is a 1.50 homebrew if it comes in two folders, one with a % and one without. If it's not a 1.50 homebrew, then keep it at the higher firmware.

If that doesn't work, then try disabling your custom gameboot, that may be the problem as you guessed.

Try running the program IRShell. If it works, then you can run homebrew through it--it's compatibility when it comes to running homebrew is higher than just the XMB.
