DVD XCopy Platinum and -R or -RW Disks

Has anyone had trouble using a TDK 440N 4X burner with DVD XCopy Platinum and burning to -R or -RW media? It works great with + media but no luck burning to -. I've used TDK brand, and Memorex. I always get a write error after a few minutes.

Not with a TDK drive but with a Sony 510 drive.

Solved the problem after posting to the Studio 321 board and the mod. provided links to the Adaptec driver downloads and to the Sony firmware DLs. Not one coaster after that. Sorry, not on my PC at this time so I can't post the links.
