Rock Band and WiiKey?

I am trying to get my Rock Band backups to play in my Wii with a WiiKey 1.9G and 3.2 firmware.

All I get on either versions I have tried is a black screen when I select to play the game. Do I need to do a firmware update for me Wii? If so is it safe to do with my WiiKey right now. Or do I need to update my WiiKey?

I'm looking for this answer too..(rockband,acdc & trackpack1)all the same when used brick blocker. should I leave in the update on these please help. thanks

Yes you need to leave the update in. Then it will work. As long as the backup and the wii are the same region.
