I'm new here, and I'm not sure if this is where this goes or not, but I have problem.

I have an American PSP Slim, not sure which version, and it's not charging at all, evenwhen I tried a new charger. The old charger I had worked fine, even with the wires basically cut in half, but with a bit of electronic work I fixed it and it was as good as new. I'm assuming that the fuse has shorted out inside the PSP, but I'm not entirely sure about that.
The light doesn't come on, and the battery is completely dead so I can't turn it on to put it into USB mode to charge it there, I was thinking of having a friend charge the battery for me so I can see what the problem was if it works or not.

So any advice on what might be the problem?

likely be the fuse for the power

if you do get hold of another battery try to see if the usb charge works (though i dont think it will turn on with the battery if the fuse is blown)

if the fuse is blow id advise going to acidmods.com for this kind of stuff

hope that helps

Well I found my old PSP, it's something I can use for extra parts, so I'm considering replacing the parts from the old one to the new one, since the old one can't read disks anymore because there are 2 holes in the ribbon, but it can still charge and all that, so I tried it with both of my chargers, and it works, so I can only assume something's wrong with my Slim, because I put the slim battery in the Fat PSP and it was 100% Charged, and it's not turning on, or the LED isn't coming on.

So I got a friend to bring me a screw driver to hopefully take them apart to see what's wrong with them/replace any parts and whatnot.
