I used to cheat on Mario Kart online too :)
However I prefer the star item. I was getting tried of Mario Kart Wii, I honestly feel that this game was nothing that the gamecube could of pulled off. Anyway using cheats was fun for awhile, but it got old too quick.

I agree. It takes the fun out of playing, but it's certainly useful for testing the game limits (like with Twilight Princess and the Super Hookshot).
I think I'll try infinite triple bananas! lol. The track will be hilarious.

You need to launch it via Twilight Princess hack or install the Home Brew Channel and launch it that way.
Have you ever used either of the 2 on your Wii?

I have the homebrew channel installed and that works since i have been using the nes emu for a while and other programs.
the save extractor has a zip file that contains a .dol and .elf file? i just drop both files on the sd card and when i go to the homebrew channel i see both files but sepratly. you can only click on one of the files at a time. I just want to save my mario kart wii file.

sigh... cheating online is only to push nintendo to ban modders online. This is stupidity, and risks the safety of everyone else who enjoys gaming online with their chipped wii.

Elk and wiichess stated directly that they are cheating ONLINE. It has everything to do with cheating online, and causes problems for everyone else around them in the modding community.
Besides that, its stupid. By cheating on a online game, you are ruining the experience for everyone else around you to have a few laughs. Not much different then the 5 year old kids that yell and scream outside my apartment window all afternoon.
Grow up.

And for you, i say move on and find a game you can enjoy. Leave those who DO find entertainment with the game alone, and stop trying to kill everyone else's enjoyment of the game just because YOU find it boring.
or better yet, log on to a chat channel and scroll spam text for an hour if that is what gets you off. At least by doing that you are causing only yourself a ban, and not risking the safety of others by dancing under Nintendo's gaze.

Download this file HERE.
It is both the Extractor and Installer included in the zip file. You will need the Installer as well to install the downloaded Mario Kart game file. I included an ICON and XML file as well so it looks better in the HBC.
All you have to do is download the file then extract it and copy both folders to the apps folder on SD card then launch via HBC.

Your analogy is pretty weak.

UPDATE: The directions on how to operate the homebrew are in the description (Description is available when selecting the ICON of the homebrew your launching in HBC).
However the first file I uploaded had an issue with the directions for the Game Save Installer. This has been corrected and I have re-uploaded the file again with the corrected XML file.
So if you want the directions for the installer then make sure you get the new download above or HERE.

No, actually it isn't. It's juvanille to spam cheat on an online-driven service. You are ruining the experience for others for a cheap thrill. The only excitement you can get from doing something such as that is the excitement that you are screwing with other people's ability for a fair fight.
I remember Gamespy arcade for my modded Xbox being fun until lamers like you discovered how to hack in to games... some kid would stay on all day long with a walk-through-wall + auto headshot aim + invincibility hack and single-handedly ruined the experience for the other 12 people just looking to have a good time/co-op challenge.
So gg noob... keep it going. You will end up getting us all banned.

I see what your saying about online cheating. And yes I didn't enjoy Mario Kart Wii as much as I would have liked. What YOU have to understand is we buy and play games for entertainment. If that means cheating online all day, well good for you, that is your right as a gamer. When you play a game, you won't want to told what you can and can't do. It is your game, you do with whatever you want with it.
Understand meatful2 that we have that right.
Yes I do see your point that it hurts other from their fun, and it may not look that way, but I do care about the game experiences of others.
Why I cheated online.
1. To test and see if I got ocarina to work correctly.
2. To see if it did work online.
3. To show off in friend matches.
I did it to see if it worked. Now that I know, I don't use it (expect in friend matches sometimes)
Because I know it sucks for people who want to play a fair game and end up in 10th place, losing 100 coins because someone cheated.
As for cause a problem for the modding community, I don't know about that. After all if you get caught cheating, they just disconnect you and you lose coins. I honestly don't thinks nintendo cares about online fairness. There hardly have online games, so that is not a top issue for them.
Lastly, there are people who cheat just to get coins in Mario Kart. If they want to do it, they are going to do it. It is their game after all. The fact of the matter is cheating only reduces the level of enjoyment of the player. Think about it, would Zelda be as fun if you got all the items at the beginning of the game? It is fun the first few times, but gets old very quickly.
