Wireless controllers not syncing

My wireless controlers will not sync. The controller lights up and the green light goes around in a circle, but the console wont recognize it. The dvd controller works fine... which is strange. The wired controllers will not sync though. No lights light up on the console either (green or red). Anyone have any idea how to fix this one?

Have you tried just pressing the button on the top of the controller, and the button on the 360, so you can sync them? Sometimes my controller would do that, and I just had to re-sync it!
