I know this subject must have been opened a few times by now but this is the only place that i know i will get help.

For the last 2 weeks my xbox while playing games keeps coming with an error "disc unreadable" "dirty/scratched". I have had the xbox for 8 months now and this has just started to come up. The xbox is modified to play downloaded games and i use Verbatim DL discs. The games i used are Call of Duty 4 and Fifa 09, i dont know about the other games but i would think that the same error will come up.

well, you didn't really ask a question, so I'm not sure what to answer, but I'm going to guess you're asking why is it doing that/how to fix it. If you get that problem, it is possible your laser is going out. Has it done anything like that with your original games? I would possibly start looking at new drives/laser replacements for your drive online.

how much would it cost to take it to someone to repair it? i haven't tried any original games as i gave them to friends.
