i had bought a 60gb ps3 from a reliable close friend and I have been having some graphical issues. At first I was using a normal RCA cables because he was using the hdmi cords for something else and it would randomly flicker random colors usually purple, green, red or blue. Its also actual structures and models and what not that flicker, its not like just random shapes appearing on screen. so i did a full format and updated my ps3 and bought an Belkin HDMI cord hoping it would fix it and it did...for maybe an hour but then it started up again. I only have Star Wars Force Unleashed and I rented Soul Calibur 4 and very randomly during a match a black line will appear on top the of the character which im guessing is not suppose to happen lol. I do have the display set correctly and if any1 could help me that would be great. I called my friend the other day and he wants me to bring it to him because he never had any problems. but yea please help me lol


*edit* also i forgot to mention, ever since i got the hdmi cord some games wont load (BSOD) and sometimes quitting back to the OS menu does a BSOD

new problem now -_- the ps3 takes about 2 min just to load the main menu and all my games, saves, music is corrupted so I tried doing a quick format and it was at 0% and then a message came up saying that the hard disk is corrupted and that it will be restored and when I click ok it restores it and then restarts the ps3 and the same message pops up. I did that about 3 times already and the same message keeps on popping up when I turn on the ps3. should I buy a new hard drive? or could i format the hard drive on the pc?? I can't do anything on the ps3 anymore because of that restoring message that keeps popping up
