Just updated my wii to the latest firmware today (04/10/2008), i currently have a wiikey and for some reason 'Samba De Amigo' just pops up with this message that it has Detected A Unauthorized Device error. Is there any way i can mod the DVD.iso to trick the console or have i updated it and i should not have?

Updating your wiikey to 1.9s should fix the error. Remember though, that even with 1.9s, its possible to occasionally get error 001. Shutting down and restarting the wii will fix it though.

thanks. I have updated it to 1.9s sorry i should have included this. Not used it in around 4 months! sorry! ok il will give it a go now!

Just restarted and works fine!

Hello, i'm having the same problem... now I opened up my Wii to see what kind of chip I have inside. I seem to have a Wiikey but I just need confirmation if it really is a Wiikey. Sorry I'm kinda new to these stuffs... anyway here's a pic:
