Serious Texture Pop-in with GTA4 due to disc drive?

I just recently got my 360 back from it getting RRODed, and since then whenever i play multiplayer in GTA ( single player is fine) the ground and textures take very long to load if i were to zoom off into the distance with a car or helicopter. Ive looked around for solutions and apparently this happens to people using backed up copies of the game, but mine is legitimate and real, so is my 360 or disc drive on its way out or is there a solution

It's a problem with Benq drives. I'm not sure if Lite-on have the same problem too. I've head flashing a read speed 8x or 5x can help that, but I'm not positive it that works or not.

wabashman, i heard a guy on here say he changed read speed but didnt work back when it was released. cant confirm it though. sorry man i would just call M$ and complain.
