First of all. I got 2 nintendo wii systems.
1 is Ntsc*Without mod chip* and 1 is pal*With mod chip*
I installed the Back up loader on my Ntsc wii with succes.
I burned some games and patched them and the all works fine.
Then I tried doing the same thing with my pal wii*with mod chip*
I did everything only this time I also installed patchmii.
*I have read in guides you need to install patchmii if your wii had a modchip*
But it did not work it keeps saying disc identification error.
After that I tried all sorts of stuff A other version of patchmii,
Different IOS 254 instead of 259 but nothing works.
It keeps saying disc identification error and if it does not say that.
It cannot load the subsystem.
it is not possible I patched the games wrong because the are doing fine on my Ntsc wii.
Anyone any idea ?

Since you have a modchip in that wii is the backup loader necessary?

i was thinking the same thing. is it really neccessary to instal the freeloader on a chipped wii. anyways. i dont want to chip my wii and was wanting to install the free loader would it work fine i mean are there going to crashes after few levels or something? thnaks in advance and mine is a PAL Wii.

The biggest issue I have found is very slow disk access, screwing up cut scenes mainly.

If you can live with those issues its not bad, mostly if you want to try out a game before shelling out cash.

That is the answer to my question.
It does not matter I just wanted to see it work on a pal wii.
Because I got friends with a pal wii that have no modchip.
who are asking me if I can install the program for them.
so the can play games that are burned on a dvd.
so I wanted to make sure the backup loader worked on a pal wii.
so if the modchip is really the problem it should not matter.
Problem solved.

Okay. this looks fair enough. a back up loader or is it the free loader? and what ver wii you running? cause ive been looking for an easy way to run my backed up games for 3 months and havnt found anything good enough cause im not chipping my wii. so if anyone out there know what to do please give me a shout....

It is a program that allows you to play downloaded games on a wii with no modchip inside.
And its also regionfree if I remember correct.
But its still in the beta state.
and the games run on 3x speed instead of 6x.
But most games run fine only videoscreens are slower.
But really what do you expect playing downloaded games without a modchip.
that it is even possible is a big flaw on nintendos side.
