PSP switches off after displaying menu

Hi,

Normally I'm a bit of a lurker but was hoping someone could help me out with this problem.

I have been looking at a PSP (fat) which appeared to be working OK until CFW was installed on it.

First thing I did was re-install 3.71 m33-4 then 4.01 m33 then 4.01 m33 v2 (as described in this guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/610313 (which has worked for all the other PSPs I have looked at!)). These all installed fine and I booted a game ISO from my own memory stick with no trouble.

However after switching off the PSP when I switch it back on I get the Sony logo, then the menu, then the PSP just powers off!

I'm at a loss why it will let me go through the firmware installs without issues then start doing this after a power cycle.

Anyone have any ideas?

try formatting the flash1 in recovery mode that should fix it

Hi,

Tried formmating the flash1 and also replaced the power switch board but still switches on and off randomly.

Any other ideas? Does it sound like a hardware issue?
