If I flash my firmware using This guide(I have a Phillips drive, I believe), can I still play XBOX Live without getting banned? If yes, are their any stealth installations I could use?

yes you will get banned. once you modify your console in any way other than a simple case sway, you will eventually get banned. its just a matter of time.
