Xbox Backup Creator Copying Slow

I am using a Kreon flashed IDE drive and XBC 2.8. The first few games I backed up seemed to work great; they copied in about 12 minutes. However, the last few games are only copying at about 1.5 time, taking me nearly an hour per game to back up.

Anyone know what can cause this or what can speed it up?
I've tried shutting down all other services running (instant messengers and such) but it still didn't speed it up. I have an older computer (1 GB DDR Ram and a 2.4 GHz P4 CPU), but it seemed to work fine at first. I've uninstalled and re-installed it. Maybe my Kreon drive needs re-flashed?

Any help would be appreciated!

hm... that sounds kind of odd. Have you tried using schtrom to see if you have the same issues?

It was going pretty slow (about 1.5x) when I tried that, so I ended up cancelling the copy in SCHTROM.

I might just have to re-flash the drive (P.S. I bought it pre-flashed on ebay)

mine does the same thing, well did. when i originally bought it would copy at 12x or so in about 20 minutes tops. now it copies at 1.2-1.6x and takes about an hour and 13 minutes. i've heard something about making sure it was in PIO mode, or something like that under device manager. however, i believe mine was set correctly and still copied slow, so i updated it to kreon v1.0 and this didnt resolve the problem, took it back to .80 and did nothing, so i just left it on 1.0 since it was the newest stuff. so hopefully someone can help you and i on this situation.

Just wanted to give an update on this in case someone else has this problem...

I switched the drive to Cable Select and also put it on the main IDE header from my motherboard.

Back to copying games in 12-15 minutes!

Hope this helps if anyone else has problems
