I think the wiikey 2 will be great. I have the original (as I am sure most of the people in here do) and I will definitely be interested in chipping people's wiis with this soon

awesome news. This will save my friends a lot of $! Was going to get the Dc2pro for thier wii but this new wiikey is so much cheaper and has the same features! most excellent!

I just bought my kids a Wii for Christmas and out of curiosity, I wanted to test it to see if everything was in working order. It works fine but when I got to the screen to update the firmware, I paused and remembered that every console I owned recently was hacked. So why not hack this one? Thanks for all of the info guys. Now I can order a solderless WiiKey2 with the Wii-Clip and then acquire a bunch of games and have everything done by Christmas morning!

Thought i should maybe post on one of yours as you did on mine :).
Okay i will watch my spelling and grammar here lol. but got to agree with the feel of this thread and add my tuppence in.
wiikey v1 running firmware 1.9x and latest firmware online from wii is still 100%. There is no genuine need for wiikey v2 unless your chipset wont take v1 which is d2c onwards. The wasp works as good as wiikey v2 and wiikey v1 and cheaper upgrade and no difference.
infact will someone explain to me why ther d2pro better or there super dooper watcha macallit???
end of day you fit chip it works end off, none run faster or better than any of others and comes to that d2pro not updatable by dvd so realy its not so good.
i hear loads of rubbish about chips and wiis all time and end of day they all doing same job but seems unless you paying through the nose and they nice red colour or somthing you want that one.
anyways amazing the power of making things in different colours shapes and sizes but a spade is just a spade
